 This paper presents a hybrid control of single-inverter dual-parallel (SIDP) interior permanent-magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) drive systems. An active damping control scheme is employed for system stabilization. The conventional damping controller does not guarantee stable operation in the low-speed resonance region under equal-load conditions. An enhanced active damping controller is introduced to maintain stable operation in the resonance region. The proposed method maintains stable and efficient operation over the entire speed range by switching to a controller with fewer tuning gains after the resonance region. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.
