This paper proposes that the analysis of a hazard failure mode and failure mechanisms in the general type household refrigerators

for home use. The analysis is in progress by field data analysis, FMEA, FTA, 2-stage QFD. And We had tested about degradation test,

defrost timer failure reproduction test and tracking test. This paper will be utilized in the analysis of fire investigations data by failure

mechanisms and data for the safety assessment during product design.
