This paper proposes stability control via phase lead compensation for single inverter dual parallel (SIDP) permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drives. This control technique improves the phase margin of the SIDP PMSM system through phase lead compensation, enabling the two motors to maintain speed synchronization despite disturbances. The proposed method dynamically adjusts the sign of the control variable fed into the phase lead compensator based on the rotor position difference, ensuring robustness against abrupt load variations. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed method in maintaining stable control within the SIDP PMSM drive system.
