This paper propose the failure mechanism of power based multi layer nano thin film glass for automobiles is confirmed and an
accelerated life test method is
suggested. Unlike conventional internal combustion engine cars, power-based
cars use motors instead
of engines. Engine cars used engine heat
for defrosting, but power-driven vehicles require the use of electrically
heated glass to
perform the defrost function. Electric
heating glass has been adopted as tungsten wire to prevent visibility problems.
However,
domestic and foreign automakers develope
multi-layer nano-thin films to defrost efficiently by applying Ag nanoparticles
to glass. The
silver (Ag) used in the conductive layer
is widely used as a material for heaters in the automotive industry because of
its relatively high
thermal and electrical conductivity. The
multi layer nano thin film glass using silver (Ag) is a product of the domestic
development
stage, and it is highly likely that
recalls and claims will be raised due to problems with product defects while
driving.
